A professional photographer and an instrument- and commercially rated pilot, Barrie Rokeach has been showcased in solo exhibitions at The Oakland Museum, the California Museum of Science and Industry in Los Angeles, the Syntex Gallery in Palo Alto and the Ryder Gallery in Chicago, among other galleries and museums, also participating in group shows in such venues as the Scott Nichols Gallery and the Transamerica Corporation in San Francisco. His works are in the permanent collections of the Oakland Museum of California, the California Museum of Science and Industry, and the SanFrancisco Arts Commission, among others. Represented by the Scott Nichols Gallery of San Francisco, he has taught photography at such institutions as the University of California at Berkeley and Davis. In 1989, Westcliffe Publishers issued a portfolio of his work titled Timescapes: California Aerial Images, for which he also wrote the text.
