ADA Eligibility Manual"That's what this [ADA] legislation is all about: creating a society where everyone is a participant, a society where people are brought together -- not set apart." --Norman Y. Mineta, Rep. from California, U.S. House Subcommittee on Surface
Transportation.
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is a metropolitan planning organization established pursuant to California Government Code Section 66500 et seq. (1970) to provide comprehensive transportation planning for the nine Bay Area counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. Policy direction is provided by 19 Commissioners, 16 of them voting. Fourteen voting members are appointed directly by locally elected officials, two members represent other regional agencies (the Association of Bay Area Governments and the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission), and three non-voting members represent the State Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the U.S. Department of Transportation. The San Francisco Bay Area ADA Paratransit Eligibility Manual was prepared by Cerenio Management Group, San Francisco, California.
