MTC Activity-Based Model System Development

MTC staff are involved in a comprehensive program to re-develop the agency's travel demand models using data from the 2000 Bay Area Travel Survey. The intent is to re-develop the models from a traditional "trip-based" modeling approach, to a fully disaggregate, "activity-based" modeling approach. This work began with a comprehensive peer group review panel in December 2004, and will be completed by 2009.

BATS2000 & GIS Efforts
