The 12th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is coming to San Francisco on November 6–10, 2005. The event provides an excellent opportunity for all transportation professionals and policymakers to view the newest technologies for improving mobility throughout the state of California.

To encourage broad participation by public sector staff and policymakers responsible for the delivery of transportation services in California, the World Congress Organizing Committee has arranged a significant discount for government sector attendees.

  • Employees of public agencies within California are eligible to receive a discounted registration of $500. This is nearly a 60 percent discount off the full registration rate of $1,200 per person! See below for detailed information.
  • Each registration will allow access to all World Congress sessions, the Innovative Mobility Showcase and exhibit hall.
  • Please complete and submit the registration form (PDF) for the 12th World Congress by October 29 to receive this significant discount offer.

The World Congress on ITS is the world’s largest event focusing on technologies for improving roadway, transit and rail transportation safety and efficiency. More than 5,000 of the world’s leading transportation innovators, business and technology leaders, and government officials at all levels travel the globe each year to participate in this important gathering. With a focus on practical deployment as well as education and innovation, the World Congress enhances our ability to achieve new levels of safety, reliability, convenience, accessibility and choice.

The 12th World Congress will offer unprecedented features such as the Innovative Mobility Showcase — the largest integrated demonstration of ITS technologies ever in the United States — presented in a campus setting at SBC Park and on the streets of San Francisco. The Showcase will give attendees the opportunity to experience firsthand emerging ITS applications that will improve safety and mobility. In addition, nearly 200 exhibitors will display their technologies at The Moscone Center and more than 750 industry experts will present on a broad range of ITS issues.
