Public Hearing:
Unmet Transit Needs in Solano County
The
Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) will hold a
public hearing in Solano County to receive oral or written
testimony that identifies or comments on unmet public transit
needs that may exist within the county that are reasonable
to meet.
The hearing
is required prior to MTC’s allocation of Transportation
Development Act (TDA) funds for streets and roads projects
during fiscal year 2011-12. These funds are available to the
county and to the cities within the county to support public
transit and paratransit services. If MTC determines that there
are no unmet transit needs that are reasonable to meet within
the jurisdiction to which the funds are made available, the
funds also may be used for purposes related to streets and
roads.
MTC’s
allocation decisions will be based on consideration of testimony
received at the hearing, review of written comments submitted
to MTC, and on, but not limited to, the Transportation Development
Act guidelines, a determination of project consistency with
MTC’s Transportation 2035 Plan,
Commission policy, and Americans with Disabilities Act paratransit
requirements. The Transportation
2035 Plan may be reviewed at major public libraries
in the county, or online.

public hearing is scheduled as follows:
