Map Brings Plan Bay Area to Life

Plan Bay Area encompasses all nine of the Bay Area’s diverse counties, so conjuring up a comprehensive mental picture of the end product is a challenge. That’s where a new, large-format map from MTC comes in. The eye-catching map brings the Plan to life in pleasant hues.

The map illustrates in detail the two elements at the heart of the Plan. The Priority Development Areas, all clustered around major transit lines, are depicted in lavender and orange. And the many leaf icons designate the Priority Conservation Areas, which preserve open space.

Be the first on your block to snag the 40” by 40” map, which comes flat or in a more portable folded-up 10” by 10”. Next time you’re at MTC for a public meeting, pick up a copy at the first-floor library, while supplies last. Or click on the thumbnail to the right to view it virtually.

MTC is located at 101 8th Street in Oakland, CA, at the Lake Merritt BART station. Call the library at (510) 817-5836.
