Solano County Interstate 80 Pavement Rehabilitation Project

Caltrans and the Solano Transportation Authority have begun work on several projects to relieve congestion, improve pavement conditions and enhance safety along Interstate 80 in Solano County. These include construction of a new eastbound carpool lane from Red Top Road to Air Base Parkway, plus repaving projects in both directions that will rehabilitate 27 miles of freeway between Tennesse Street in Vallejo and Leisure Town Road in Vacaville. The new carpool lane is financed primarily through Proposition 1B transportation bond funds approved by California voters in 2006 and Regional Measure 2 toll funds approved by Bay Area voters in 2004.
