Press ReleasesFor Immediate ReleaseMayor Newsom Cuts Ribbon at FasTrak® Grand OpeningNew Customer Service Center and Enhanced Web Site Offer FasTrak® Customers Easier Sign-up and Account ManagementNew FasTrak® Lanes to Be Announced (See diagram) What: Join Mayor Newsom, city officials, business leaders and executives from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), Caltrans and the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (GGBHTD) as they unveil a new FasTrak® customer service center in San Francisco and a new FasTrak® Web site. In addition to a ribbon cutting ceremony and speeches, the Mayor and distinguished guests will tour the new customer service center, and will showcase the new Web site’s advanced features. FasTrak® is the electronic toll collection system used on each of the Bay Area’s eight toll bridges. The new Web site and customer service center make it easier for Bay Area residents to sign-up for FasTrak® and to manage their FasTrak® accounts online. This will help make traffic flow more efficiently by encouraging drivers to pay bridge tolls electronically. Caltrans to announce new FasTrak® lanes during the event.
