Bay Area Cities, Counties Get Pavement Quality Report Card

Annual Summary Details Conditions on Local Streets and Roads

WHAT:
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is releasing its annual summary of pavement condition on the Bay Area’s 19,500 miles of local streets and roads. The new rankings include 2005 pavement condition index (PCI) scores from each of the nine Bay Area counties and 99 of the region’s 101 cities.

WHEN:
Wednesday, October 18, 2006

WHERE:
San Jose
3600 block of Madeline Drive — between Maro Drive and N. Cragmont Avenue

DIRECTIONS: McKee Road or Alum Rock Ave. exit off Interstate 680,
east approximately one mile to North Cragmont Avenue, then south two blocks
from McKee or north two blocks from Alum Rock.
