Bay Area Transportation Poll and Survey Results

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) will release summary results of a
recent poll of Bay Area registered voters on transportation issues, on the MTC Web site —
www.mtc.ca.gov — on Wednesday, May 23rd at 10 a.m. Summary
results of a Web site survey and of public workshops held throughout the Bay Area on transportation
issues will also be posted on the Web at the same time.
The public opinion information MTC has gathered over the past three months will help guide the agency
in developing the 2001 Regional
Transportation Plan.
The poll and survey information will be presented at the May 23rd MTC Commission meeting, which begins
at 10 a.m. at the Joseph P. Bort MetroCenter, 101 Eighth Street, Oakland. The meeting will be audiocast
on the MTC Web site.
A similar presentation on the transportation poll and survey results will be made at the MTC Citizens
Advisory Council at 11:30 a.m., following the Commission meeting
