• Released for public comment the Draft 2003 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), a list of all Bay Area transportation projects that are a) set to receive federal funds, b) subject to a federally required action or c) regionally significant. A public hearing is set for June 12, with final action set for July 24, 2002. You can view the Draft TIP online.
• Revised the fiscal year 2002-03 Fund Estimate to reflect an increase in State Transit Assistance (STA) available to the region's public transit operators. The adjustment stems from a March 2002 Board of Equalization decision that protects diesel sales tax revenues, which feed the STA program.
