Awarded $9.5 million to a dozen community-oriented projects in the latest round of capital grants from MTC's Transportation for Livable Communities Program. The list includes a number of streetscape/traffic-calming projects as well as bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
Took final action on the fiscal 2002-03 MTC budget, which calls for $40 million in operating expenses and $23 million in capital expenses.
Approved annual claims for fiscal 2002-03 from eight transit operators and other claimants for $155 million in state and local operating and capital assistance.
Acting as the Service Authority for Freeways and Expressways, adopted the Call Box Program Strategic and Financial Plan, which calls for streamlining the region's network of roadside call boxes and redirecting savings to other services.
