Transportation Group Names MTC’s Bockelman Woman of the Year

The San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar has named Alix Bockelman, director of Programming and Allocations for MTC, as its Woman of the Year. The influential organization recognized Bockelman for her leadership in the industry as well as for her professionalism, commitment to customer service and continuing support for advancing women’s careers in the transportation field.

Bockelman was cited in particular for her work earlier this year spearheading the successful regional effort to secure funding for Bay Area projects through the Corridor Mobility Improvement Account established by Proposition 1B, which was approved by voters in November 2006.
