The Bay Area's transportation network has joined the ranks of dot-com companies and
others that have their own "brand" logo and message. "Bay Area Transportation. Get There."
-- accompanied by a stylized wheel -- will soon appear on regional transportation maps,
brochures, Web pages, signage and other information sources. The wheel design also forms
part of the Translink® smart card logo.
The brand will be used to identify MTC-sponsored services, including
TravInfo®, the regional traveler information service;
the transit information Web site; Commuter Check®, the
transit voucher program; and the regional rideshare program. The brand also will mark
interagency efforts to provide transit services to destinations of regional interest.
