SPECIAL EMPLOYEE AWARD
STAN HULL, BUS OPERATOR
Stan Hull, winner of this year's Special Transportation Employee Award, is a bus driver who takes special care of his customers.

"In riding public transit for 40 years, [I have met] few [bus drivers who] are as kind and considerate as Stan," said Dana Simmons, a regular rider on Hull's route.

A driver for the Central Contra Costa Transit Authority (County Connection) since 1989, Hull attributes his success to exemplary bus operators upon whom he has modeled his career. He also is quick to point out that he is just one of many bus drivers who are deserving of the Special Employee Award.

Hull has been honored twice by County Connection -- with a Certificate of Merit in 1997 and a Certificate of Recognition in 1998 -- for his reliability and the high level of public satisfaction with his service.
