Commission Actions

November 2001

• Voted to support Proposition 42 on the March 2002 state ballot. This measure would permanently dedicate the sales tax on gasoline to transportation purposes.
• Approved the $531 million 2002 Regional Transportation Improvement Program and submitted it to the California Transportation Commission for inclusion in the State Transportation Improvement Program.
• Approved the Productivity Improvement Program for 2001-02, which lays out performance standards that transit operators must achieve in order to receive State Transportation Assistance funds or Transportation Development Act revenues from MTC.
