Smart Growth / Transportation for Livable CommunitiesTransit-Oriented DevelopmentThe TODcastMTC and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) have released a series of five narrated audio tours of transit corridors and transit-oriented developments in the Bay Area, featuring interviews with the planners, developers and stakeholders that made it all happen. Whether you call them transit villages, walkable neighborhoods, or transit-oriented developments, the general concept is the same: when you cluster homes, services and shops around transit, you create a synergy that results in a whole host of benefits for the community and the region. You’ll hear more about what makes TOD work throughout our tour, as we talk to the people that are making it happen. Each audio tour has a corresponding map. We recommend that you print the PDF and bring it along. This series was developed by HearNow Productions.
