In October 2022, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission adopted MTC Resolution 4540, establishing a new Carbon Reduction Program (CRP). This CRP outlines the project selection and funding priorities for $60 million in grants from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) from 2022 through 2026

The CRP is coordinated with One Bay Area Grant (OBAG) strategies to advance Climate Initiatives projects as part of the Bay Area’s long-range plan, Plan Bay Area 2050.
